Losar 2153: A Renewed Call for Justice and Solidarity with Tibet and the Persecuted

Tibetan Losar Greetings from Global Alliance for Tibet & Persecuted Minorities (GATPM)

Dear Friends, Supporters, Allies, and Partners,

As we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse – 2153 on 18th February 2026, I extend my warmest Losar Tashi Deleg to you and your loved ones. May this Tibetan New Year usher in renewed hope, resilience, courage, and prosperity for all.

Losar is a sacred time to honour our profound spiritual and cultural heritage — from the legacy of Tibet’s Dharma Kings to the unbreakable spirit of our people today. It is also a moment of reflection and renewed determination. As repression inside Tibet intensifies and the fundamental rights of Tibetans and other persecuted communities continue to be denied under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, our collective responsibility to stand for truth and justice becomes ever more urgent.

This year calls us not only to celebrate but to strengthen our global movement. The values of compassion, non-violence, and universal responsibility embodied by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama remain a guiding light for our efforts. His enduring message of peace and dialogue continues to inspire people of conscience around the world.

On this meaningful occasion, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to governments, parliamentarians, NGOs, human rights defenders, political leaders, faith communities, and grassroots activists who stand in solidarity with Tibet and other persecuted minorities. Your principled support sustains our advocacy and amplifies the voices of those silenced.

As we step into the Tibetan Royal Year 2153, I humbly call upon you to renew and deepen your engagement with our shared cause. Your continued partnership — through advocacy, awareness, collaboration, and support — is vital to advancing human rights, religious freedom, cultural preservation, and justice. Together, we can ensure that Tibet’s struggle remains visible and that the aspirations of oppressed communities are not forgotten.

With your solidarity, the Global Alliance for Tibet & Persecuted Minorities (GATPM) remains steadfast in its mission to champion freedom, dignity, and accountability. Let this Losar strengthen our unity and resolve as we work toward a future grounded in justice and peace.

Thank you for your enduring commitment. May the spirit of Losar inspire us all to move forward with courage, compassion, and unwavering determination.

Losar Tashi Deleg!

With gratitude and renewed resolve,
